The British horror film As Night Falls has added American actor Mundey Young to the cast. The film is headlined by Jack Parr (Take Cover) and Sophia Eleni (Call the Midwife). The first on-set image has been unveiled by the makers.
The horror flick will also feature Aaron-Jon North (The Nun II), Fran McAteer, Dale Hayes, David Sayers, Oliver Smiles and Millie-Sue Hayward. Leroy Kincaide, who has previously helmed the exorcist horror film The Last Rite, is the writer and director of As Night Falls. Kincaide and Chloe Chudasama produce As Night Falls for Nocturnal Pictures.
Before his foray into the film industry, Kincaide was a professional wrestler. In 2014, he founded Nocturnal Pictures. He has written and helmed many short films and music videos before making his feature directorial debut with The Last Rite. Currently streaming on Hulu, The Last Rite stars Bethan Waller and Johnny Fleming.
As Night Falls, set in a dystopian world five months after the world goes dark, will see Jane and Aidan's fragile existence threatened by interdimensional predators, attracted to sound, lurking in the shadows. With production wrapped, the film is currently in post-production.
The 27-day filming, which started in December, took place across regions like Medway, Kent, U.K., including the historic Chatham Dockyards, which have previously been featured in Call the Midwife, Sherlock Holmes and Les Misérables.
As Night Falls is gearing up for release in the latter half of 2025.
Mundey Young has previously starred in Nobody Leaves 'til Jesus Comes and the short film Time's Up. Last seen in Take Cover, Parr has Breaking Cover, High Hand and One Thousand Flames in various stages of production. On the other hand, Eleni is currently also working on Bone Keeper, Zero Hour and I Never Knew You.
