The other day, Prime Video shared a promotional video where Himesh Reshammiya gives his opinion on director Ilya Naishuller's upcoming film Heads of State, starring John Cena, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Idris Elba. The video positions Himesh as though he is coming out of the film's premiere; as the paparazzi asks him what he thinks about it, a girl, apparently a Himesh fan, requests the actor-singer to sing a song. Himesh then delivers the same opinion, mixing it with his popular songs 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' and 'Tandoori Days'.
In the video, titled 'Reviews-E-Reshammiya', the singer-actor calls Heads Of State "an action mixtape" rife with whistle-worthy moments. He then proceeds to describe Cena and Elba as "deadly dudes", while praising Priyanka's performance, saying she brings a desi flavour to the international production.
In Heads of State, Cena plays American President Will Derringer who has a public rivalry with Elba's British PM Sam Clarke. With an attack that takes down Air Force One in the enemy zone, Derringer must put his rivalry aside and stop an international conspiracy that threatens to destroy world order. The two have Priyanka's MI6 Agent character Noel Bisset for their protection. The film also stars Paddy Considine, Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, and Jack Quaid.
Heads of State is slated for a July 02 release on Prime Video.
