Actors Sasha Frolova, Xander Berkeley, Kimball Farley and Toby Poser have joined the upcoming horror thriller Recluse along with Mia Vallet. It is directed by writer-filmmaker Henry Chaisson, known for Servant (2019), Antlers (2021) and Diary of a Murderer.
According to the makers, Recluse revolves around Joan, a withdrawn audio engineer who heads back to her crumbling childhood estate after a distressing call from her estranged, ailing father—once a celebrated artist shrouded in whispers of occult practices. As she delves into the eerie remnants of his life, Joan uncovers a sinister mystery that has been festering for decades. Now, she must confront the terrifying question: are the horrors unfolding around her born from her father’s dark past, or is her own psyche unraveling?
The first look of the film was recently released by the makers. Apart from the above mentioned cast members, Frankie Seratch, Gillian Cooper, and Christine Nyland are also part of the film which is the second production under the Restricted Pictures banner after backing the upcoming film Night After Night.
Josh Lobo, Rowan Russell, and Alex Dandino are producing for Restricted Pictures banner along with Chaisson, Katharina Windemuth, Bruno Corbin, Gillian Cooper, Jayda Park, Andrew Merrill, and Beth Crudele. Chaisson, Windemuth, Lobo, Cooper, Frankie Seratch, and Cailla O’Shea serve as executive producers.
