The supes are back, and school’s in session—Gen V is officially returning to Prime Video for its second season on September 17, kicking things off with a triple-episode premiere. New episodes will drop weekly every Wednesday, leading up to the season finale on October 22.
Fans got a first taste of what’s in store at the CCXP México event, where cast members Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, London Thor, and Derek Luh joined a lively panel to unveil a teaser trailer and share insights on the chaos ahead at Godolkin University.
Season 2 of Gen V picks up in a world reeling under Homelander’s tightening grip. At Godolkin, students face a new challenge in the form of Cipher, the newly appointed and highly mysterious dean. Promising to unlock even greater power in his students, Cipher’s arrival signals a shift in both tone and tactics.
The official logline of Gen V season 2 hints at deeper conspiracies and rising tensions: while Cate and Sam are hailed as heroes, Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to campus grappling with trauma and loss. But it’s not just about lectures and keggers this time—a looming war between humans and supes is brewing. As the students uncover a long-buried secret tied to the university’s founding, Marie finds herself more entangled than she ever imagined.
The returning cast of Gen V season 2 includes Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. Hamish Linklater joins Season 2 as Dean Cipher.
Behind the scenes, Michele Fazekas returns as showrunner and executive producer. The powerhouse producing team includes Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and more, with the series produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
