'I haven't lost touch yet': Clint Eastwood announces he will direct his next soon

The legendary actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood, popular for the Western Spaghetti genre, celebrated his 95th birthday recently.

During his birthday celebration on Saturday said that he will begin directing his next feature soon. He said, according to Reuters, “There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age. And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I’m not one of them.”

Born on May 31, 1930, Eastwood made his acting debut with Revenge of the Creature (1955). His breakout role came in Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy; A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). He made his directorial debut with Play Misty for Me (1971). Some of his critically acclaimed films include The Dead Pool (1988), The Enforcer (1976) and Sudden Impact (1983).

Eastwood won the Academy Awards under Best Actor and Best Picture categories for Unforgiven (1993) and Million Dollar Baby (2005). A prolific filmmaker, Eastwood made his last film Juror #2 in 2024.
