
Ahead of the premiere of the second season of the Tim Burton's mystery comedy, Wednesday, Netflix announced that the series will return for a third season. The second season of the series is set to release in two parts, with the first part premiering on August 6 and its second part premiering on September 3.
Talking to Netflix, co-creator Alfred Gough said, “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can. We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore Academy and Wednesday." Co-creator Miles Millar added, "We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
Wednesday, which is based on Charles Addams' characters, The Addams Family, which first appeared in The New Yorker, premiered in 2022. It follows the story of the eldest daughter of the family, Wednesday Addams, and her adventures in the Nevermore Academy.
Returning to the second season are Jenna Ortega, Isaac Ordonez, Victor Dorobantu, Luis Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joonas Suotomo, and Emma Myers. Joanna Lumley and Steve Buscemi are joining the cast for the second season.
