Eyes of Wakanda: Marvel unveils its first look at the animated Black Panther spinoff

After debuting footage at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Marvel has released a sneak peak at the upcoming Black Panther spinoff, Eyes of Wakanda. The upcoming animated series will be released on August 28.

According to the official synopsis, the series follows the stories of elite Wakandan warriors known as the Hatut Zaraze and their globetrotting adventures to retrieve Vibranium artefacts from the enemies of Wakanda. The story will cover some of the 3000 year old history of Wakanda.

The cast of Eyes of Wakanda includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose.

Ryan Coogler, who directed Black Panther (2018) and its sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, serves as an executive producer on the series. With him Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Kalia King, Todd Harris, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt serve as executive producers. Harris also serves as the director on the series.
