Winner of the Jury Prize and Best Actress award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, Emilia Perez, a Spanish-language musical crime comedy, revolves around the Mexican cartel leader Juan "Manitas" Del Monte, who undergoes sex-change surgery and transitions into a woman named Emilia Pérez. An international co-production between the US, UK and Hungary, The Brutalist is about a Hungary-born Jewish Holocaust survivor, played by Adrien Brody, who strives to achieve the American Dream after his migration before he chances upon a wealthy client.
