On Tuesday, Netflix announced that their original drama series, The Lincoln Lawyer, has been renewed for season 4. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will reprise his role of Mickey Haller, the criminal defence lawyer, in the show, created by David E Kelley of Big Little Lies fame.

The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer premiered on the streamer on October 17 with 10 episodes. The show follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), “an iconoclastic idealist, [who] runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.”

The Lincoln Lawyer is based on the eponymous novels by Michael Connelly about LA’s most dedicated defence attorney. Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the sixth book in Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Law of Innocence. Production for the new season is slated to begin in February.

Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson) are all set to reprise their roles in the fourth season of the series as well. Neve Campbell, who didn't make an appearance in season 3, will appear in all episodes of season 4.

Showrunners and co-executive producers Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey will also be back for the next chapter. Connelly is also an executive producer on the show along with Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Matthew J. Lieberman, Gladys Rodriguez. The series is produced by A+E Studios for Netflix.

More details about the upcoming season, such as plot and release date, are awaited.
