Max shared a teaser for the second season of the popular video game-based series The Last of Us that bears its release window. The series will drop on Max and HBO in April this year, although the makers are yet to specify the release date. Sony Pictures first confirmed it at the CES show in Las Vegas on Monday. In the upcoming season, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey reprise their roles as Joel and Ellie. It follows the protagonists' journey through an America during the zombie apocalypse. The official plotline reads, "After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind."
The trailer for Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann's video game adaptation gives a glimpse of Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Jeffrey Wright's characters, among others.
