The Dexter: Resurrection cast has expanded to include yet another important cast member. Actor Peter Dinklage, known for his celebrated roles in HBO's Game of Thrones series and Avengers: Infinity War, has joined Michael C Hall in the upcoming sequel series. Hall will be returning to play the lead role as the infamous titular character Dexter Morgan.
Dinklage joins the series as a regular, portraying Leon Prater, a billionaire venture capitalist whose outward reputation as a generous philanthropist conceals a much darker side.
Leon will collaborate closely with Charley (Uma Thurman), his head of security. A former Special Ops officer, Charley has an extensive background in high-level private security roles before stepping into her current position as Prater’s sharp and detail-oriented right-hand woman.
Furthermore, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, and James Remar will reprise their iconic roles as series regulars, returning as Angel Batista, Harrison Morgan, and Harry Morgan, respectively. Apart from starring in the lead, Hall will also serve as the narrator as he did in all of the previous series including the ongoing prequel series Dexter: Original Sin which has Patrick Gibson in the lead role. The series will conclude its first season, 10-episode run on February 14.
Dexter: Resurrection is a follow-up to the 2021 Dexter: New Blood and is set in the present day. The series will be released in the summer of 2025. Further details regarding the plot have been kept under wraps.
Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin) returns as showrunner and executive producer for Dexter: Resurrection, which is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) also serves as an executive producer, alongside Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood) taking on the role of producing director.
Monica Raymund (Dexter: Original Sin) will direct four episodes, while Siega will direct six. The series will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
