Ethan Embry is the latest addition to the cast of Scream 7, directed by Kevin Williamson, the one who created the slasher film franchise. Embry joins the existing cast, which includes returning cast members Neve Campbell, Scott Foley, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Matthew Lillard. The new additions to the cast include Celeste O’Connor, Isabel May, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Anna Camp, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, and Joel McHale.
Williamson directs the film from a screenplay by Guy Busick, known for his work in Scream (2022) and Scream VI. James Vanderbilt of Project X Entertainment is producing the film alongside Paul Neinstein and William Sherak.
The franchise began with director Wes Craven's Scream in 1996, and Craven directed three sequels released in 1997, 2000, and 2011, respectively. A fifth instalment, merely titled Scream, relaunched the franchise in 2022. The last instalment, Scream VI (2023), became the highest-grossing film in the franchise in the US.
Embry's upcoming projects also include Alma and the Wolf as well as The Gymnast.
