

DC Studios has released the first look at Supergirl, as the teaser for the film has been released. Milly Alcock, who is known for her work in House of the Dragon, essays the role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.
The teaser for the film shows the return of Krypto the Superdog, and shows a montage of clips, which offers a glimpse at Supergirl's journey. With Blondie's 'Call Me' playing in the background, the teaser also offers a look at Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts) and a brief glimpse at Jason Momoa as Lobo.
Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham are also part of the cast playing Ruthye Marye Knoll, Zor-El, and Alura In-Ze, respectively. Supergirl (2026) is based on Tom King's series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Alcock made a cameo appearance as Kara Zor-El in James Gunn's Superman (2025).
Craig Gillespie, who has directed films like I, Tonya (2017) and Cruella (2021), is directing Supergirl (2026) from a script by Ana Nogueira.
Ramin Djawadi, who has previously composed music for Iron Man (2008) and Game of Thrones, is composing music for the film.
Gunn and Safran, co-CEOs of DC Studios are producing the film. Warner Bros Pictures, Troll Court Entertainment Production, and The Safran Company are the banners backing the film.
Supergirl (2026) is the second film in DC Universe's first slate of projects, titled Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. Supergirl (2026) will release on June 26, 2026.
