The writer for Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn is teaming up with Darren Aronofsky, the director of Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, and more recently Caught Stealing. According to Deadline, the upcoming film will be based on a story by Flynn and Aronofsky.

The erotic thriller will be produced by Aronofsky under his Protozoa Pictures banners. Also producing are 1.21 and Sony Pictures. Details about the story are yet to be revealed.

Aronofsky's most recent work was Caught Stealing, which was headlined by Austin Butler, Zoe Kravitz, and Matt Smith. The film followed the story of a former baseball player, who gets caught in the crosshairs of the underworld of New York, when he is dog sitting for his neighbours.

The director's is working on Pendulum, a psychological thriller which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Pheobe Dynevor, Norman Reedus, and Jacki Weaver, among others.

Meanwhile, Flynn is working with director Tim Burton, on a remake of the 1958 film, Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman.
