The nightmares are barely over and Samara Weaving has returned to face the horrors once again in a deadlier game in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. The first trailer for the film, released by Searchlight Pictures show Grace (Samara Weaving) recovering at the hospital after surviving a horrifying night of her husband's family trying to kill her in a deadly game of hide and seek. While she opens her eyes and heaves a sigh of relief, thinking that it is all over, she discovers that she has been chained to the bed.

The over two-minute-long trailer establishes that the satanic cult continues to follow her. She is now captured by a 'High Council' family which is trying to kill her, once again. But the stakes are now higher as along with Grace, her sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) too is captured for the kill. The upcoming film is a sequel to the hit 2019 horror-thriller of the same name and is set for release on April 10, 2026.

The film's plotline reads, "Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all." Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood also star in the film.

Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, along with writers Guy Busick and R Christopher Murphy have returned for the sequel. Andrew Stearn, Brett Jutkiewicz and Avery Plewes are also back to the team as production designer, director of photography and costume designer respectively. The film whose principal photography began in April in Toronto, wrapped filming in June.

Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak are backing the film. Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, Busick, Murphy, Weaving and Paul Neinstein serve as executive producers.
