Actor Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have become parents to a baby girl. The couple posted a heartfelt note on their social media handles, expressing their happiness on embracing parenthood with their newly adopted child.
"This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption," they said, adding, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy." The message ended with "And then there were 3."
Brown, 21, best known for her role as Eleven in the megahit Netflix series Stranger Things, and Jake Bongiovi, 23, model and son of the musician Jon Bon Jovi got married last October after their engagement in 2023.
Millie Bobby Brown has previously weighed in on becoming a parent sharing that although she is very young, she was open to the idea as her mom had her first child when she was 21.
"My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake," Brown said. "Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me."
She further added, "And my nan, my grandmother is, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it's so important to start a family for me personally," she went on. "It's a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing."
At the time, she had also said she was open to adoption. "For me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything,” Millie had said, adding, “So that’s kind of where we’re at. We’re wanting to start a family and it doesn’t matter in what way or when, but it will happen for sure." The star also said she and her husband are planning on having a big family since they both come from families with four kids.
Brown, who was recently appeared alongside Chris Pratt in sci-fi film The Electric State, is working on Enola Holmes 3 where she is also the producer.
