Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror flick, Frankenstein, will premiere on Netflix on November 7, the streamer announced. The film stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein's monster.

Speaking about the film, del Toro said, “The most important figure from English legacy is, incredibly, for me, a teenager by the name of Mary Shelley, and she has remained a figure as important in my life as if she were family. And so many times when I want to give up, when I think about giving up, when people tell me that dreaming of the movies and the stories I dream are impossible, I think of her.”

The cast for Frankenstein also includes Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz.

The film, which is based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, follows the story of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings The Creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the unravelling of both Victor and The Creature.
