Tom Holland will resume swinging through the skyline of New York as he begins filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland also revealed new look at the new suit for the film. Spider-Man Brand New Day will release on July 31, 2026.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will begin on the heels of the previous film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which ended with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) casting a spell over the world, to make everyone forget Peter Parker, in order to protect his identity as Spider-Man. Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was directed by Jon Watts, was released in 2021, and also starred Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. The film also saw the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man from their respective films. Spider-Man: No Way Home was the final film in the first trilogy, which starred Holland as Spider-Man. The film was preceded by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will direct Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Cretton is also known for directing Short Term 12, The Glass Castle, and Just Mercy.

As previously announced, Mark Ruffalo will return to for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Along with Ruffalo, Michael Mando, who was seen in an end credits scene for Spider-Man: Homecoming, will return as the villain Scorpion. Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher after Daredevil: Born Again. Bernthal will also portray The Punisher in a special presentation from Marvel. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also expected to return for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Holland was previously filming for Christopher Nolan's historical epic, The Odyssey. With Matt Damon as Odysseus, the cast for the film also includes some of Holland's Marvel co-stars like Zendaya and Bernthal, along with Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong'o, and Robert Pattinson. The Odyssey is all set to release on July 17, 2026.
