
Sydney Sweeney is set to star in an adaptation of the Split Fiction game, which is to be directed by Jon M Chu, reports Variety. The game was released on March 6 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
Split Fiction is a science fiction game that follows two authors, Mio and Zoe, who get trapped within the worlds they created.
With Chu directing the film, the script has been written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who previously wrote the screenplay for Deadpool and Wolverine. Sweeney serves as an executive producer for the film. Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M Johnson are producing under their Story Kitchen banner, with Chu producing under his Electric Somewhere.
Sydney Sweeney's performances include Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Anyone but You, Madame Web, The White Lotus, and Euphoria.
Jon M Chu has directed films like Crazy Rich Asians, GI Joe: Retaliation, Now You See Me 2, In the Heights, and the recent Disney film Wicked. He is also directing the sequel to Wicked, which is titled Wicked: For Good.
