
Earlier, we reported that the Tom Cruise-starrer Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is slated for a May 23 release in theatres. However, the film's distributor Paramount Pictures has pushed its release ahead to May 17 in India. As reported earlier, the eight instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise is set to mark to the end of Cruise's journey as Ethan Hunt. The film marks the return of director Christopher McQuarrie after 2023's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. It also brings back actors Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Angela Bassett, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, and Mark Gatiss. The new additions to the franchise include Janet McTeer, Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Rolf Saxon, and Lucy Tulugarjuk.
Recently, Paramount Pictures released a trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning that includes iconic scenes featuring Cruise's Hunt from the previous instalments in the franchise. The film reunites McQuarrie with his Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One co-writer Erik Jendresen. McQuarrie is also producing the film along with Cruise.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is all set to have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2025.
