By Any Means, which stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg in the leads, has added more members to its cast. Nicole Beharie, Giancarlo Esposito, Josh Lucas, David Strathairn, Ethan Embry, LisaGay Hamilton, and LaChanze join By Any Means, reports Deadline.

The film, set in 1966, follows the story of an infamous hitman for the mafia who is hired by the FBI off the books to be partnered with a young special agent to track down those responsible for the murders of civil rights leaders.

Among the newly joined cast members, Esposito will portray an NAACP leader, Vernon Dahmer, known for his work on voter recruitment and is killed by the KKK for the same.

Elegance Bratton, who is known for directing The Inspection, is directing the film. The original script was written by Sascha Penn, with revisions done by Theodore Witcher. By Any Means is backed by Thunder Road, Municipal, Hammerstone Studios, and Freedom Principle.
