When one of those survivors leaves the island for the mainland, he finds several revelations about the infected and the non-infected.
Jodie Comer leads the cast of the film that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes.
Danny Boyle returns to direct 28 Years Later from a script by Alex Garland. Garland is known for directing films like Ex Machina, Annihilation, and Civil War. Boyle and Garland produce the film with Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernard Bellew. Cillian Murphy, who was the star of the original film, 28 Days Later, serves as an executive producer.
Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later is set to release theatrically on June 20.
