Marc Menchaca and Reese Antoinette to guest star in Dexter: Ressurection

Actor Marc Menchaca, known for TV series like Ozark, Manifest and The Sinner has joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection along with Reese Antoinette of Bad Monkey-fame. While Menchaca will play the role of Red, Antoinette will play Joy, Blessing Kamara’s (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) headstrong daughter.

The upcoming series, a follow-up to the 2021 Dexter: New Blood, is set in the present day and will be released in the summer of 2025.

In Dexter: Ressurrection, Michael C Hall will be returning to play the lead role as the infamous titular character Dexter Morgan. Along with him, John Lithgow, David Zayas, Jimmy Smits, Jack Alcott, and James Remar will also reprise their iconic roles as series regulars, returning as Trinity Killer, Angel Batista, Miguel Prado, Harrison Morgan, and Harry Morgan, respectively. 

Joining them for the series are Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Along with Menchaca and Antoinette, Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian will also guest star as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.

Hall will also serve as the narrator as he did in all of the previous series including the recently-completed prequel series Dexter: Original Sin which has Patrick Gibson in the lead role. The series concluded its first season, 10-episode run in February and has been renewed for season two. Further details regarding the plot of Dexter: Ressurrection have been kept under wraps.

Clyde Phillips (DexterDexter: Original Sin) returns as showrunner and executive producer for Dexter: Resurrection, which is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C Hall (DexterSix Feet Under) also serves as an executive producer, alongside Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood) taking on the role of producing director.

Monica Raymund (Dexter: Original Sin) will direct four episodes, while Siega will direct six. The series will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
