Zach Galifianakis joins the cast of AMC's new series based on Silicon Valley. The series, from the studio behind hit shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men, is now titled The Audacity, reports Deadline.

The series is set within the hustle of Silicon Valley and follows an array of people in the tech industry as they set out to make a name for themselves as they deal with the problems of the real world in the age of AI.

In The Audacity, Galifianakis is set to play Carl Bardolph, an obscenely rich man who is brought into the world of tech again by Duncan (Billy Magnussen). But Carl comes back as a hurdle instead of a guide.

Galifianakis joins the cast, which stars Billy Magnussen in the lead, Sarah Goldberg, Simon Helberg, Lucy Punch, Rob Corddry, Paul Adelstein, Meaghan Rath, and Everett Blunck.

Jonathan Glatzer is the creator, showrunner, and writer for The Audacity. Glatzer is set to serve as an executive producer with Gina Mingacci.

With eight episodes, The Audacity is set to be released in 2026.
