
In the trailer for Netflix's Havoc, we see Tom Hardy fighting through an onslaught of hurdles to rescue someone. Havoc is directed by Gareth Evans, who is known for directing The Raid.
The action thriller follows Walker, played by Tom Hardy, a detective who has to fight through the criminal elements of the city as they threaten to take over it. Cops, a criminal syndicate, and a crooked politician are all pursuing him after a drug deal gone wrong. Walker is forced to confront his past, as he is forced to rescue the politician's estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal is starting to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy.
With Tom Hardy playing the wary detective Walker and Forest Whitaker playing the politician, the rest of the cast of Havoc includes Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caeser, Xelia Medes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Luis Guzman, and Timothy Olyphant.
Written and directed by Gareth Evans, the film is produced by Evans, Hardy, Ed Talfan, and Aram Tertzakian.
Gareth Evans's Havoc is set to premiere on Netflix on April 25.
