
After announcing the shoot wrap of director Joachim Rønning's Tron: Ares last year, the makers have returned with the release date of the film on Saturday.
The film's production company, Walt Disney Pictures, announced on its official X handle that the film will be released in theatres on October 10. The announcement came with the trailer of the film.
Tron: Ares stars Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, and Jodie Turner-Smith in lead roles.
Tron: Ares also stars Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, Sarah Desjardins, and Cameron Monaghan. Recently, actor Jeff Bridges confirmed that he is returning for the third film. The script for Tron: Ares is penned by Jesse Wigutow.
The threequel is all set to follow Ares, a highly sophisticated Program that is sent into the real world from the digital world on a dangerous mission. The phenomenon marks humankind's first encounter with A.I. beings. Tron: Ares is produced by Leto, Justin Springer, and Ludbrook for Disney.
