The official teaser for the Five Nights At Freddy’s sequel was unveiled by Universal at CinemaCon on Wednesday. The short teaser shows the return of the animatronic creatures as they infiltrate all public places, including a fair and a school. As usual, Matthew Lillard’s diabolical voiceover plays in the background.
Five Nights At Freddy's, which was released in theatres and on Peacock on October 27, 2023, stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail and Kat Conner Sterling. The film is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon.
Emma Tammi, who helmed the first film, returns to direct Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 from a script penned by Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. The first film’s story follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson), who begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as a security guard. During his first night on the job, he realises that the night shift won't be so easy to get through. Pretty soon, he will unveil what actually happened at Freddy's.
In Five Nights At Freddy’s 2, Josh Hutcherson reprises his role as Mike, the hapless security guard. Joining him are returning cast members Matthew Lillard, Piper Rubio as Abby, and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa.
While Five Nights At Freddy’s premiered on Peacock, due to its release during the strike season, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is set to open in theatres on December 5.
