
HBO's new series based on DC Comics' Green Lanterns Corps has added a new member to its cast. Chris Coy is joining HBO's Lanterns as Waylon Sanders, a truck driver, reports Deadline.
HBO's Lanterns follows two members of the Green Lantern Corps, Hal Jordan and John Stewart, as they discover a terrifying secret that connects with the larger story of the DC Universe (DCU).
Leading the cast of HBO's Lanterns are Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart. Kelly MacDonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Ulrich Thomsen, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Sherman Augustus, Nicole Ari Parker, J Alphonse Nicholson, with Jason Ritter, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.
HBO's Lanterns has Chris Mundy as the showrunner. He serves as an executive producer with Damon Lindelof, Tom King, James Hawes, Peter Safran, and James Gunn. Lindelof, Mundy, and King serve as writers on the series. Directors on the series include Hawes, Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Alik Sakharov.
While the makers of HBO's Lanterns haven't confirmed a release date, the show is set to be released in 2026.
