

New footage was released for the upcoming live-action Minecraft film, titled A Minecraft Movie. The film, which is made in collaboration with Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures, stars Jason Momoa and Jack Black and is directed by Jared Hess. It is the first-ever live-action adaptation of Minecraft, which is considered the best-selling video game of all time.
The footage shows Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa) and Henry (Sebastian Eugene Hansen) talking with expert crafter Steve (Black). It also showed Hess discuss the film.
Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Jill Messick, Torfi Frans Olafsson, and Vu Bui are producers, while Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza, Jonathan Spaihts, Pete Chiappetta, Andrew Lary, and Anthony Tittanegro are executive producers.
Enrique Chediak is the cinematographer, while Grant Major is the production designer. The editing is by James Thomas, while the music is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh. The film will hit screens on April 4, 2025.
