The upcoming fifth season of the procedural drama series 9-1-1: Lone Star, which is scheduled to premiere on Fox on September 23, was revealed to be its last. The series finale, which will air early next year, would potentially be its last episode.
This will make the series the last one to be produced by Fox's earlier entity, 20th Television, before it got sold to Disney in 2019. The series follows a firefighter who relocates from Manhattan, New York to Austin, Texas. As he tries to balance the duties of saving those who are at their most vulnerable, he must also solve the problems in his own life.
9-1-1: Lone Star is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear.
