SkyShowtime has announced the cast of its first show from Spain, titled Mamen Mayo. Silvia Abril plays the titular character in the comedy show that the makers describe as an “extremely intelligent inheritance mediator, who is at the pinnacle of her career.” The character is at the top of a group of mediators at Mediaciones Mayo who try to solve conflicts of interest among families involved in disputes related to inheritance.
The show also stars Pablo Capuz as Mamen's assistant David Faura, Mona Martinez as appraisal expert Sebastiana, and Clara Sans as young attorney Clara Codina. Oscar de la Fuente, Francisco Reyes, Javier Pereira, and Toni Acosta are also part of the cast. Acosta plays Mamen's sibling, Rebeca Mayo.
Nostromo Pictures is producing the eight-episode show in association with SkyShowtime. Each episode is half an hour long and shows how the mediators try to bring about the solutions to the conflicts. Creator Eduard Sola runs the show along with Miguel Angel Faura.
