Actor-comedian Martin Short, known for The Simpsons and BoJack Horseman, is set to feature in a recurring role in the second season of the Fox animation comedy Grimsburg. Short will voice detective Otis Volcanowitz, described as the youngest and latest person to join the Grimsburg police department. He will join Jon Hamm of Mad Men and Top Gun: Maverick fame, who voices detective Martin Flute and serves as an executive producer.

According to the official description from the makers, "Otis is Grimsburg’s newest detective and also their youngest. Fortunately, there’s nothing the mean streets of this town can throw at him that’s scarier than what he’s seen in the third grade cubbies. Otis is out to prove that it was his skills as a kid detective that got him this job, not because he’s a nepo baby whose wealthy parents happen to be the Mayor’s biggest donors and the owners of the town’s wildly profitable active volcano dump."

The second season of the show also includes voice actors Tina Fey, JK Simmons, Joel McHale, Tom Segura, Danny Trejo, and Anna Osceola.

Hamm voices a skillful yet washed-up police officer who is not a great work partner or family guy. He comes back to town and attempts to make peace with his former spouse Harmony (Erinn Hayes), unstable child Stan (Rachel Dratch), human cyborg colleague Detective Greg Summers (Kevin Michael Richardson), and mentor Lieutenant John Kang (Greg Chun). Alan Tudyk voices Mr Flesh, Stan's imaginary friend. Kaniehtiio Horn, Rosie Perez, and Jaime Camil also reprise their roles from the first season.

Grimsburg season 2 is expected to premiere sometime next year on Fox and Hulu.
