As Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again is gearing towards its release in March 2023, reports have come out with updates regarding the series' seminal features.
The X page of Marvel Updates revealed that the series will have episodes with a runtime of around an hour, it will feature several cameos, a funeral scene is expected in the initial episodes, and that the test screening of the series yielded a positive response.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige unveiled the series' trailer at the D23 expo held this August. He had also announced the second season of the series in the event for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic enthusiasts.
The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer turned superhero who fights crime, and Vincent Donofiro as the supervillain Kingpin. The trailer shows them having a conversation at a diner, one that is similar to the discussion between Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's characters in filmmaker Michael Mann's thriller Heat. Murdock tells Kingpin, "If you step out of line, I’m going to be there," eliciting laughter from the latter as he wonders whether it is Murdock or Daredevil talking.
Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, and Nikki M James are also part of the cast. Dario Scardapane runs the show, with the director duo Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson of Loki fame.
