Sarah Paulson, who plays a protective mother in the latest Hulu feature Hold Your Breath, talked about what sort of film she would like to appear in next. In an interview with The Puppy Interview of BuzzFeed, she said, "I want someone to put me in a f***ing comedy. Nobody puts me in a comedy. All you want me to do is scream and run from a clown. You don’t understand that I’m like a gentle, nice, charming, funny person.”
The actor also stated that she wants to star alongside Cate Blanchett in a film. "I’d like to work with her in the horror genre, actually. Also, I would like to do a buddy picture with her, a road comedy. There’s something no one asked Cate Blanchett to do and no one asked me to do either, which is the comedy. And she’s really funny, so I’d like to do that," said Sarah Paulson.
The actor also expressed her desire to reunite with her Ocean's 8 co-star Sandra Bullock. "I’d like to do something like serious with her, maybe," she said.
She also discussed which of her spouse Holland Taylor's characters she would have liked to portray. "I probably would like to be in Legally Blonde, I’d like to play that teacher," she said, referring to the film starring Taylor as Professor Stromwell and Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods.
Speaking of Legally Blonde, there are some projects related to the Holland Taylor starrer's franchise in the pipeline. Dan Goor and Mindy Kaling are working on a Legally Blonde 3 screenplay. Witherspoon, who will return to the film as Elle, also produces a Legally Blonde prequel titled Elle for Prime Video.
