Actor Vin Diesel, who was last in the tenth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, has teased fans of the franchise on what can be expected from the film and what is being demanded from him.

In an Instagram post featuring him and Dwayne Johnson, Diesel wrote that Universal is pushing for a release in March 2026, with Concast requesting a two-movie finale for the franchise that began in 2001. Expressing that he wants to get back to "real street racing, practical stunts and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood," while the writer of Fast Five wants a reconciliation between Dom and Hobbs.

This post laid discussion open on whether Fast X2 will be the last film or the penultimate; will the focus be on the dynamics between Dom and Hobbs?

Notably, Diesel is said to have planned for two sequels for Fast X, depending on how the film performs, but the director Louis Leterrier commented on the same saying, "It's one step at a time," last year.

Fast X ends with Dom getting trapped at the base of a dam in Portugal without an escape, while his son Brian is in danger.

Apart from Dwayne and Vin Diesel, the film also has Jason Statham, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Momoa, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang and Ludacris. The film is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Diesel, Dwayne, Jeff, Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth and Samantha Vincent.

The technical crew of the film has cinematographer Stephen F. Windon and music composer Brian Tyler. The film's screenplay is penned by Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel.
