First look at Die, My Love, starring Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence out
We had earlier reported that Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson are joining hands for the upcoming thriller Die, My Love. The first look of the film has now been released, offering a glimpse into the protagonists' characters. Die, My Love is directed by renowned Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, who co-wrote the script with Enda Walsh.
The official logline says that the story is set in a remote and forgotten rural area and will follow a mother who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis and struggles to retain a grip on reality. Robert Pattinson plays her husband. LaKeith Stanfield, plays a crucial role as her lover. Actors Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte are also part of the cast.
It is being produced under the banners of Justine Ciarrocchi and Jennifer Lawrence's Excellent Cadaver, alongside Martin Scorsese and Andrea Calderwood. Black Label Media is providing financial backing for the project.
Lynne Ramsay is best known for her films Ratcatcher, Talk About Kevin and Morvern Callar. She last made You Were Never Really Here, a neo-noir crime psychological thriller film starring Joaquin Phoenix, Ekaterina Samsonov, and Alex Manette, among others.
Jennifer Lawrence, who was last seen in Sony’s praised sex comedy No Hard Feelings, has several upcoming projects in the works. These include A24’s adaptation of the graphic novel Why Don’t You Love Me? and Apple/A24’s The Wives, a murder mystery inspired by The Real Housewives.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson, whose role in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 has been delayed from January to April, is also set to star in A24’s The Drama alongside Zendaya. Additional projects include The Batman Part II and Primetime, a crime reporting film currently in early stages of development, also with A24.
