Macaulay Culkin has been cast in a recurring role for Season 2 of Prime Video's hit series Fallout, produced by Kilter Films, according to sources from Deadline. While details remain under wraps, Culkin is reportedly set to play a "crazy genius" character.

Fallout, executive produced by Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Graham Wagner, is adapted from the popular video game franchise by Bethesda Game Studios. Set 200 years after an apocalypse, it follows the residents of luxury fallout shelters as they venture back into the dangerous, irradiated world their ancestors left behind, only to encounter a bizarre, violent, and complex new reality.

The series features Ella Purnell as Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and Walton Goggins as the Ghoul, with a supporting cast that includes Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

Fallout premiered as one of Prime Video’s top three most-watched series and garnered 16 Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks also serve as executive producers, with Amazon MGM Studios and Bethesda collaborating on the production.

Culkin’s involvement with Amazon extends beyond this role, as he recently lent his voice to the animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. His recent acting credits include a significant role in FX’s American Horror Story: Double Feature and an appearance on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones.
