Truth or Dare and Scream 4 star Lucy Hale is set to play a scientist in Antartica who is battling a diaboloical entity in the upcoming sci-fi thriller White Mars.
The film, set in the isolated Aquila Research Facility in Antarctica, follows microbiologist Sammie (Hale) as she battles to protect her crew from a deadly entity intent on destroying them. Directed by Martin Owen (Above The Below) and written by Matt Mitchell, Vicki Sargent, and Roo Berry, White Mars begins principal photography on November 11, 2024, at Rome's Cinecittà Studios, utilizing virtual production technology throughout.
Produced by Matt Williams of Future Artists Entertainment and Neil Jones, with Steve Griffith and Steve Jelley from Singularity Entertainment, the film is co-financed by XYZ Films and IPR.VC. This marks the debut feature for Singularity Entertainment, a company focused on virtual production and efficient methods for indie films.
Hale, best known for Pretty Little Liars, recently starred in Hulu’s Which Brings Me to You and the rom-com Puppy Love. She has also appeared in The Hating Game and the AMC crime series Ragdoll. Owen, meanwhile, is finishing Above The Below, co-directed with Idris Elba.
