Venom: The Last Dance continues its carnage over the box office and has earned $317 million worldwide. In the second weekend of its release, the film earned $68.4 million in 66 markets which increased its international box office cumulation to $227 million.
Venom 3 registered the lowest opening of the trilogy in the US, but the film had a terrific opening in China and France. The total global box office gross is 4% ahead of Venom: Let There Be Carnage at the same point in release.
The film stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, who, along with his alien symbiote Venom, is on the run. It is the fifth installment of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, following the first two Venom films, Morbius, and Madame Web. The Last Dance is the final installment in the Venom trilogy, even though Hardy's character was teased in the mid-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Upon release in India on October 25, the film received mixed reviews. Our CE review of the film read, "Venom: The Last Dance feels like a desperate attempt to wrap up the franchise while also allowing enough loopholes to let the franchise grow if and when required. We do get a complete character arc for Venom but in true superhero franchise fashion, Venom: The Last Dance gives into the temptation of expansion and gives us hints for a continuation of the story. While the tagline ‘The Last Dance’ is clearly a ruse, there is a chance that the makers do mean it this time. So, there is hope."
The rest of the cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Stephen Graham, Peggy Lu, Clark Backo, Alanna Ubach, and Andy Serkis.
