
Tom Clancy's hit series Jack Ryan is getting a film adaptation which will be developed by Amazon MGM. John Krasinski, who plays the titular role as the intrepid CIA analyst is set to reprise his role in the film.
Wendell Pierce, who starred along with Krasinski in the series, is also set to act in the film. Michael Kelly is also in talks to reprise his role from the series.
Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on season two of Jack Ryan, will direct the film. Aaron Rabin, who served as a co-executive producer and writer on season four, has penned the script.
John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger are on board as producers through Sunday Night, with Andrew Form also producing. The film is a collaboration with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Executive producers include David Ellison and Dana Goldberg from Skydance, along with John Kelly and Carlton Cuse.
Jack Ryan is a political action thriller series based on characters from the fictional "Ryanverse" created by Tom Clancy. The series premiered in 2018 and ended with a four-season-run in 2023.
Krasinski, recently took on the roles of writer, producer, and director for the family fantasy film IF, in which he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds. Additionally, he and his production company produced A Quiet Place: Day One.
