Earlier we reported that The Night Manager has added Daisy Jones & the Six actor Camila Morrone for a major role in the series. The latest to join the cast is Diego Calva, who will be joining Tom Hiddleston along with Morrone.
It is yet to be known what role Calva is set to play in BBC-Prime Video's thriller series. The Night Manager is a British series based on an eponymous 1993 novel by John le Carre. It follows a former soldier and currently a luxury hotel manager Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) who gets recruited by UK's Foreign Office task force to infiltrate the circle of arms dealer Richard Roper as a part of the illegal arms trade probe.
Though the details about the rest of the cast are under wraps, season 2 will open eight years after the events of season 1. The BAFTA winner, George Banks-Davies will direct all six episodes of season 2 while David Farr, the series creator, will write the new seasons. With Stephen Garrett leading the production, Hugh Laurie returns to the series as the executive producer.
Calva is known for his performance as Manny Torres in Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. Last seen in City of Dreams, Calva currently has On Swift Horses directed by Daniel Minahan in the pipeline.
