David Arquette and Daniella Pick Tarantino to star in The Perfect Gamble

Director Danny A Abeckaser, best known for his work in Bardejov, is set to direct his next film The Perfect Gamble which stars himself alongside actors David Arquette and Daniella Pick Tarantino, wife of director Quentin Tarantino.

According to reports, The Perfect Gamble, which is written by Kosta Kondilopoulos, is set to follow two gamblers who are released from prison and decide to open an illegal casino. Daniella Pick Tarantino is expected to portray the girlfriend of one of the two protagonists, who become entangled with the mafia. The film is set to go on floors next week.

Speaking to Deadline, the director said, "Working with Arquette is always a no brainer, he adapts to any character and brings a vulnerability and likability even when you are supposed to dislike them." He also said Daniella is extremely impressive in all of the screen testing. "I am excited to get on set and see her really dive into the role. This will be a pivotal part for her, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to direct this movie," he added.

Abeckaser's recent crime drama Mob Cops also starring Arquette alongside Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Luke and Joseph Russ, just sold distribution to over 12 regions at the Cannes Film Festival international buyers market. The film will be released during the Fall in US and Canada through Lionsgate's Grindstone Entertainment.
