
Daniel Craig will be joined by Josh O'Connor and Cailee Speany on the third instalment of A Knives Out Mystery titled, Wake Up Dead Man. While Craig is set to return as Benoit Blanc, writer-director Rian Johnson is also coming back to helm the threequel, from a script he wrote.
Plot details of Wake Up Dead Man are yet to be revealed. The film will be a sequel to Knives Out and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Johnson is also set to produce the film with his partner, Ram Bergman under the T-Street Pictures banner.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is expected to go into production soon, with its release planned for 2025.
O'Connor has won a Primetime Emmy Award for his stint as Charles, Prince of Wales, in Netflix's The Crown. He is also known for shows like Doctor Who, and Peaky Blinders and films like Emma, La Chimera and the recently released Challengers. In the pipeline, he has a historical romantic drama, The History of Sound, co-starring Paul Mescal and helmed by Oliver Hermanus. He is reportedly also onboard Luca Guadagnino’s Separate Rooms co-starring Léa Seydoux, and Karim Aïnouz’s Rosebushpruning co-starring Kristen Stewart & Elle Fanning.
Spaeny, on the other hand is known for her performance as the titular character in Priscilla. Her other known works include The Craft: Legacy and The First Lady. She is currently gearing up for the release of Alien: Romulus, the seventh instalment in the Alien franchise helmed by Fede Álvarez, which is set to hit theatres on August 16.
