
Following the tragic killing of actor Johnny Wactor, his family has launched a fundraiser to financially support Wactor's mother.
The General Hospital actor's godmother Michaelle Kinard has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise $100,000 and over $35,000 has been raised so far. The fund money will aid Johnny's mother Scarlett Wactor.
According to a Deadline report, Wactor wrapped up his bartending shift and was walking to his car with his female friend where he spotted thieves attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. Grant Wactor, Johnny's brother, stated that he moved his friend behind him to protect her before getting shot.
The LA police state Wactor was shot at 3 AM on Saturday in the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street.
Wactor portrayed Brando in 160 episodes in the longest-running American soap opera General Hospital from 2020 to 2022.
Starting his acting career in the Lifetime drama series Army series between 2007 to 2009. He also guested in series like Westworld, The OA, Station 19, Hollywood Girl, and Criminal Minds.
Wactor's feature credits include Nicolas Cage's USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, Trapper's Edge, Supercell, and Menthol.
He is survived by his mother Scarlett and brothers Lance and Grant
