Makers of Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian & Grogu are likely to rope in Sigourney Weaver, as the actor is in talks to play a role in the new Star Wars movie.
What role, if she lands one, would she star and the plot details are kept under wraps.
The film will also be produced by Favreau along with Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni.
If Weaver signs the film, she will once again be returning to space-related stories as she has featured in hit films in Alien and Avatar franchises. Weaver was last seen in Avatar: The Way of Water as Kiri/Dr Grace Augustine
The previous Star Wars film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released in 2019. The film grossed $1 billion globally.
The Mandalorian & Grogu is slated for a theatrical release on May 22, 2026.
