Here's William Shatner's condition to return as Captain Kirk in Star Wars

Actor William Shatner, popular for his Star Trek role Captain Kirk, said he will come back to the sci-fi franchise provided he is told an exceptional story.

The actor who is 93 came up with suggestions like using CGI to play a younger version of Captain Kirk or other tech interventions to rejuvenate his appearance. He imagined a scenario of Captain Kirk's brain being preserved, leading to his return. He gave a "compelling storyline" the prime importance if he has to return.

Shatner last appeared as Captain Kirk in the 1994 film Star Trek Generations, where the character's end comes with his demise.

Though the nonagenarian's enthusiasm to revisit his role is higher than ever. However, his return is a mere speculation at best as of now.

On the work front, William Shatner is promoting his documentary You Can Call Me Bill, written and directed by Alexandre O Philippe. The narrative of the documentary reads, "An intimate portrait of William Shatner's personal journey over nine decades on this Earth, You Can Call Me Bill strips away all the masks he has worn to embody countless characters, and reveals the man behind it all."

The documentary is produced by Jeff Annison and Kerry Deignan Roy, while David Baxter, Terri Lubaroff and Paul Scanlan executive producing it.

You Can Call Me Bill has cinematography by Robert Muratore, edits by Patrick Huber and Dave Krahling, and music by Jon Hegel and Bill Prokopow.
