Dakota Johnson's latest outing, the Marvel film Madame Web, will be available to stream on Netflix from May 14, the streamer announced. A Sony Pictures Entertainment film, it also stars Sydney Sweeney, Emma Robers, Zosia Mamet, Tahar Rahim, and Mike Epps in prominent roles.
The official description of Madame Web reads, "Cassandra Webb develops the power to see the future. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies, if they can all survive a deadly present." The film hit theatres on February 16 and opened to unfavourable reviews.
Madame Web, directed by SJ Clarkson and written by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, and Claire Parker along with Clarkson is an origins story for the character. This is the first time Madame Web will appear in a live-action film. The film's story comes from Kerem Sanga, Sazama and Sharpless.
