The makers of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Tim Burton's much-anticipated sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice, have unveiled the first teaser trailer of the film. The sequel stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega in lead roles.
The official synopsis of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reads, "After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."
The teaser trailer acts as nostalgia as Keaton makes a comeback as Betelgeuse, the bio-exorcist. We also see the return of Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O'Hara Delia Deetz. Jenna Ortega plays Lydia's daughter Astrid.
Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, Burn Gorman, and Filipe Cates are the new additions to the cast of the Beetlejuice sequel. The original Beetlejuice also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jordan, and Catherine O'Hara among others.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is all set to make its debut in Indian theatres on September 6.
