First look of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice out

We had earlier reported that filmmaker Tim Burton's much-anticipated sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice has been titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Now, the makers have shared the first look posters from the film where we can see Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega's character and looks from the film.

Released by Entertainment Weekly, we can see Catherine O'Hara as Delia, Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Winona Ryder as Lydia, and Justin Theroux as Rory standing in a row at a cemetery dressed in all black. In another image we see Michael Keaton stepping back into the role of Beetlejuice where he sports a dirty black and white striped suit, has disheveled green hair, darkly circled eyes, and black and dirty teeth.

The original Beetlejuice also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jordan, and Catherine O'Hara among others. Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as recently deceased newlyweds whose spirits remain stuck in their country residence. When a new insufferable couple (O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones) and their morose teenage daughter (Ryder) move into the house, self-proclaimed bio-exorcist Beetlejuice is summoned to help scare them away. The sequel was earlier titled Beetlejuice 2.

The plot details of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice are kept under wraps by the makers. Speaking in an interview with EW, Burton said that the sequel picks up decades later with a death in the family. "That's all I will say. There's something that happens that sets things in motion."

The film will make its debut in Indian theatres on September 6.
