The Sopranos' alums Terence Winter and David Chase to collaborate on horror film

Terence Winter and David Chase, alums of HBO's The Sopranos, are working together on a new horror film. The arrangement comes as a part of the first-look deal that Chase has signed with Warner Bros. The film, which also involves New Line Cinema, marks the reunion of Winter and Chase after the HBO show featuring the late James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano. Winter is the executive producer and Chase is the creator of the show, which turned 25 this year.

Chase plans on directing the horror film in his first collaboration with Winter on their theatrical feature script and production. He is also producing the film via his banner Riverain Pictures, along with Nicole Lambert. On the other hand, Winter is executive producing it through his banner Cold Front Productions with his wife Rachel of Tangerine Pictures.

After The Sopranos, Chase directed a film titled Not Fade Away, while Winter served as a screenwriter for a couple of films, most notably The Wolf of Wall Street. Chase also co-wrote and co-produced The Many Saints of Newark, which served as a prequel to The Sopranos.
